Do You Know The Bronzing Process
Hot stamping process is a special printing process without ink. The so-called hot stamping refers to the process of stamping anodized aluminum foil onto the surface of the substrate under a certain temperature and pressure. The hot stamping machine is the equipment that completes the hot stamping process.
The graphics and texts of anodized aluminum hot stamping show a strong metallic luster, the colors are bright and eye-catching, and will never fade. Gold and silver anodized aluminum, in particular, embellishes the surface of printed matter with its magnificent, exquisite and elegant decoration, enhances the artistry of printed matter, and plays a prominent role in promoting the theme; its brightness greatly exceeds that of printed gold and silver, making the product It has a high-end feeling and gives people beautiful enjoyment. At the same time, due to the excellent physical and chemical properties of anodized aluminum, it plays a role in protecting the printed matter, so the bronzing process is widely used in high-end and exquisite packaging and decoration trademarks, calendars, book covers and other printed matters;
Secondly, the range of anodized aluminum hot stamping is very wide, from general book covers, trademark patterns, advertisements, plastic products to daily necessities, from paper to leather, cotton cloth, etc.; moreover, hot stamping is a dry processing method, and the workpiece is hot stamped It can be packaged and transported immediately. Therefore, hot stamping technology is widely used, and the scope of application of hot stamping is still expanding.
Since the quality, specifications, and models of anodized aluminum foil will affect the quality of hot stamping, scientific and reasonable selection of anodized aluminum foil is a prerequisite for improving the quality of hot stamping process.
一、 The principle of bronzing
After a certain temperature and pressure, the color foil instantly attaches the pattern and text of the plate to the plastic surface.
二、 the necessary conditions for bronzing
1. Temperature 2. Air pressure
3. Color foil 4. Ironing plate
三、 bronzing version
High-quality hot stamping plate is the primary factor to ensure the quality of hot stamping.
At present, photo-etching technology and electronic engraving technology are mainly used to make bronzing plates, and copper plates or zinc plates are commonly used as materials. The material of the copper plate is fine and smooth, and its surface finish and heat transfer effect are better than those of the zinc plate. Using a high-quality copper plate can improve the glossiness and outline definition of bronzing graphics. The traditional photo-etching technology is simple and low-cost to make bronzing plates, and is mainly used for text, thick lines, and general images; for finer bronzing plates with uneven thickness of graphics and texts, secondary rotten depth or electric engraving technology is required. The hot stamping plate produced by electric engraving can express rich and delicate layer changes, which greatly expands the performance of packaging. This process is conducive to environmental protection, but the investment in electric engraving equipment is relatively large, and the depth of engraving is not ideal at present, which is easy to cause hot stamping "paste plate". The holographic anti-counterfeiting hot stamping plate requires high technical requirements. In the past, it was mainly produced in Taiwan or abroad, and the plate-making cycle was long. It was only used for the packaging of fixed and large-volume products.
The bronzing plate is mainly made of the following materials:
(1). Silicone rubber plate (rubber wheel): suitable for general plastic shells, the thickness is generally 1.5MM, and the applicable temperature is 180°C-380°C
(2). Copper plate: Suitable for large amount and deep stamping, durable. Temperature 120°C-180°C
(3). Zinc version: not resistant to high temperature and high pressure, applicable temperature 120°C-150°C
(4). Steel version: no longer used
(5). Magnesium alloy version: no longer used
四、Color foil
(1) Thickness of the color foil: the thickness of the color foil is 6U-35U, and the factory generally uses 12U color less ironing. The color foil is thicker and the font is pasted, and the thinner is clearer.
(2)the color foil is divided into five layers: PE film, release agent, coloring layer, adhesive, adhesive
(3)classification of color foil:
a. Universal type: generally used for ABS, PVC, PS, PC
b. Special type (PP color foil): generally used for PP, PE
c. Shared type: ABS and PP are suitable (this foil has better temperature resistance)
五、 the characteristics of bronzing
The pattern is clear and beautiful, the color is bright and eye-catching, wear-resistant and weather-resistant. On the printed cigarette labels, the application of bronzing technology accounts for more than 85%. And bronzing on graphic design can play a finishing touch and highlight the design theme, especially for trademarks and registered names, the effect is more significant.
